中職新會長吳志揚昨日上任，主動談到中職未來新展望，他強調「將修改中職章程，未來將公開、透明，希望有意願單位申請加入中職」，意指中職將歡迎各大企業未來主動爭取成立第5、第6隊。
吳志揚雖然昨日才正式上任，但他已主動拜訪過許多國內相關單位，還跟棒協展開「破冰會談」，並提出未來新球隊加盟中職的條件。
吳志揚表示：「現在中職章程並未明定新球隊加入辦法，不過希望未來企業要投入，首先要有支付權利金的概念，聯盟也會盡全力協助，修改條文，新球隊有機會獲得選秀優先權，洋將名額增加等想法。」
對於新球隊有機會加入，義大領隊謝秉育表示：「我認為最好是6隊，一次增加2隊，5隊賽程不好排，未來增加新隊可以先打二軍，再給予選秀權等優惠，最快應該是2016年。」
此外，吳志揚表示，他上任後將跟所有國際重要聯盟拜訪，無論是亞職大賽或是冬季聯盟，都將爭取復辦，也會跟棒協合作，實現讓業餘培訓隊打冬聯的想法。
